Editorial policy
dogtraining.sg combines a trainer directory with editorial guides. This policy explains how we keep those roles separate and what we will — and will not — publish.
Independence
We are an independent platform, not operated by AVS or NParks. Editorial guides do not constitute endorsements of specific trainers unless explicitly labelled as sponsored content (we do not currently run paid editorial placements).
Accuracy and verification
Accreditation and certification information is sourced from the official AVS list and trainer claims subject to verification. Guides include “information checked” dates where applicable. Owners should always confirm current credentials before booking.
What we avoid
- Invented average prices, ratings or success statistics
- Keyword-stuffed copy written for search engines rather than readers
- Claims that a specific trainer uses a particular method unless verified
- Guarantees of training outcomes or overnight behaviour fixes
- Presenting directory inclusion as an AVS endorsement
Singapore context
Guides address local realities: HDB rules and neighbour dynamics, corridor and lift training, tropical weather limits on outdoor practice, and the practical constraints of apartment living. General dog-training advice from overseas sources may not transfer directly.
Updates and corrections
We update guides when regulations, AVS source data or best-practice understanding changes materially. Factual corrections take priority. Contact us via the contact page or see our methodology for data-handling details.
